TURNING THE VULCAN INSIDE-OUT.

The much loved landmark Vulcan Hotel was one of very few remaining vernacular working class architectures in Cardiff city centre. The building was a sign post to a long history of a community  of working people who chose to drink at the Vulcan Hoyel. Once this icon has been removed, the signifier of this important history vanishes along with another part of the cultural identity of the city.

TXT2Vulcan helped promote the cultural value that Vulcan Hotel represented for people who used it, their memories, their identities that formed such a place. TXT messages are now achieved at the National Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans. TXT2 messages help preserve a sense of peoples feelings about their beloved treasure, for future generations.

POSTSCRIPT: 2020
