Salt has a cubic molecular structure....The two week workshop was an opportunity for Iberaki prefecture town planners and people living in the area to give thought about the patterns of change happening around them.
Hitachinaka was becoming one of the largest of Japan’s sea ports. On the huge concrete quay were piled high, like crystals, rectangular forms and storage containers.

Our architectural forms reflected the adjoined molecule structure of NaCl with two adjoined spaces. The reflection in the polished floors creates the whole of each symbolic molecule. NaCl dome was over 9m high and over 32m in circumference.
